My main complaint is the superfluous number of main female characters, a problem inherent in many games -> anime conversions. Overall, there isn't that much story, and I hope that the OVA's will bring more plot/relationship development to this series. Therefore, there's two or so episodes of dramatic goodness near the end, though nothing near the level of drama in Da Capo. Then finally near the end, they realize that they had to put something together to not totally disappoint those looking for some plot. For the most part, the series spends over half of the episodes introducing the girls one at a time. Story? This is just slice of life daily occurrences. The VA for Konomi has a high pitched voice, but I think it worked out very nicely. The OP/ED were completely skippable and the BGM average. Oh, it's also free of fan service too (can't say the same for OVA though). he apparently attracts a lot of girls just with his personality? Girls look nice, one of the pluses. The main male character looks really dull, I can see why he's supposedly not very good with the girls. The animation is somewhat on par with To Heart Memories, not current but acceptable. Otherwise, try some other harem (I will say though that some of the add-on OVAs are quite good so this is necessary background if you want to watch those). Therefore, if you want to sift through stones for some gold, this series will work. Though there were 1-2 really good episodes, the other 10 or so were really flat. Don't expect any action, or even much comedy from this series. This is a very slow-paced slice of life with calming BGMs, a good series to fall asleep to. This is a harem type series but there's very little serious matter here. There is a new cast and character set to explore. To Heart 2 is a revisiting of the school where the original To Heart took place. For clarification, visual novels are considered a sub-genre of adventure games and the term does not cover simulations. And since clubs take up so much time in the lives of students, these are obviously also important., visual novel The two terms are similar yet different, however, the fact that they look and `feel` the same outweighs the technical differences. For the older viewers a college setting with more mature real-life problems is appropriate. Romance is also a difficulty encountered when creating a harem., school life Since a large part of the anime audience still takes part in school life or is visiting college, it is only natural to choose a setting the audience can identify with, be it elementary, middle, or high school. The harem may be only a support to an existing or predictable relationship, or the lead may end up in relationships with most or all members., high school A secondary school that usually contains grades 10 through 12 in Japan, or 9 through 12 in America., romance Romance describes a story that deals with love between two or more characters typically also having an optimistic ending. The lead will often be physically abused for his behavior. Sexual tones are applied to the lead`s behavior and to the members` depiction. The female characters often draw heavily from stock archetypes. ![]() Their interactions are romantically or sexually loaded. Daily Life is basically a synonym for everything normal, repetitive, and trivial happening to your average person., game Based on an interactive (even if minimally so) form of entertainment software, generally available for PCs, consoles or arcade machines., harem Three or more characters, generally female, are under the influence of one character, normally male. ![]() In anime the term is used in a more general sense where the protagonists have to face a challenge, make an important decision in their life, take on responsibility, or learn a lesson, and by overcoming these obstacles they reach a higher level of maturity., daily life The antics of the protagonists do not take place in some exotic setting or time, but in everyday life.
